- Surech is one of the most popular legend of Palau when her lover Tulei was ordered by Chief Madrangebuked of Ngebuked village to bring her to his house. - Surech’s head was buried at the old village of Ngebuked with the stone placed on top as a symbol that love is more powerful than village chief’s power.

Bkul Ngerair

- A huge outcropping of a rock bordering Ngiwal State and the village of Ngkelau of Ngaraard State on the east coast. It was on this archipelago that the demi-god UCHEL of Ngiwal swooped down on Ngaraard warriors killing them one by one until a young sickly boy by the name of Rechechem, whose mother taught him the technique of spearing by watching a water bird (Egret) hunting for fishes, thus the boy was able to spear and kill the demi-god of Ngiwal out of the skies.

Ngerchokl Stream

- Unfortunately, an old woman and her granddaughter happened to pass by on their way home and the old woman wanted to freshen up from the long hot day. As she jumped into the water, she turned into a young woman and her granddaughter began crying for her grandmother. The young woman, seeing her granddaughter crying and scared, jumped back into the water and when she came out she was an old woman again.
